Kids go to camp to have fun! It’s
just that simple. Yet out of this short, uniquely
wonderful experience, some of life’s greatest
lessons are learned. |
| Sight
without Glasses Camp
is a place where men and women believe in young
people, all young people, and accept them for
who they are…It’s a place where kids learn how
to live with others…caring, sharing and laughing
together…It’s a place where a kid can get to know
himself and develop self-confidence by being on
his own…Sight
without Glasses Camp
is also a place where each child can become close
to nature. |
| and
it’s a place where honesty, effort and enthusiasm
are more important than winning or losing…Ah,
but to the child, most of all is FUN!… It’s the
fun of chatting and sleeping in the tent with
your friends… |
 |
 |
It’s
the fun eating the food you cook…for the
singing around the campfire, games that
stretch your mind and your body. But above
all, it also builds your confidence as you
learn to move and enjoy the activities without
your glasses. The
Sight without Glasses Camp Secret?…
It’s simple-quality adult guidance…Program,
facilities and setting are all important,
but the key to a meaningful experience is
the counselor… Actions speak louder than
words. |
|
Love,
respect, friendliness and cheerfulness…these are
the qualities of Character we hope to convey to
each camper as we live, play and work with one
another. Counselors lead by personal examples.
It takes someone really special to be a Sight
